Build a Trex Signature Aluminum Railing Package

Trex Signature Aluminum railing:

Trex Signature knockdown panels are installed between surface-mount aluminum posts, or composite 4x4 sleeves mounted over wood 4x4 or metal structural posts (existing or new)

Surface-mount posts come with a post, skirt, and cap. Install with 5" lag screws into treated deck framing.

4x4 post sleeves do NOT come with caps or skirts, which will need to be ordered separately, if desired.

Trex Signature panels are available as horizontal rod panels, vertical spindle panels, wire mesh panels, and channels for glass to be installed (sourced from your local glass supplier

Vertical spindle panels come with round or square spindles, top and bottom rails, brackets, and screws.

Horizontal rod panels come with a top rail, horizontal rods, vertical spacer, mounting brackets, and screws. These are available in stair or horizontal orientation.

Wire mesh rails come with a top rail, bottom rail, side braces, mounting brackets, and screws. Mesh panels are available for cutting to fit into horizontal or stair panel openings

Glass channel rails come with a top rail, bottom rail, support leg, mounting brackets, and screws. These are meant to only be used in a horizontal orientation.

Drink rail brackets are available, and will work with either rod rails or vertical spindle panels. These are attached around the top rail, and screw up into the board that is placed over the top rail. It is recommended to mount these every 24" along a top rail. Includes screws.

When installing a stair rail, a continuous handrail is required. This can be achieved by using crossover brackets with your intermediate posts stair posts, or by installing a separate rod rail with wall returns or loops at either end, and braces where railing spans more than 96".

Compatible Lighting Parts

Trex-compatible lights run on a 12v DC power source, which is supplied from one of the transformers on this page. Transformer would be plugged into a standard 110v wall outlet.

If a photosensitive timer is desired, the transformer would be plugged into the timer, which would then be plugged into the outlet. If a remote is desired, the remote would plug in between the timer and the first light

All lights would require either a T-splitter at the light, or connect back to a six-way hub. It is possible to have a splitter or hub placed at the transformer to run wires in different directions from the transformer.
