An H-Frame is a cross-beam that is mounted between reinforced joists.
It is installed around a section of the house wall that is not meant to have structural framing attached to it, such as cantilevered bump-outs, dryer vents, or faucets.
Blocking can and should be inserted between the H-Frame and the home, to provide support to deck board ends in the immediate area, but nothing more.
